Dr. Mrs.Hadiza Goje is a distinguished financial expert celebrated for her illustrious career and contributions to the Nigerian accounting profession. As a seasoned financial administrator and Fellow Certified National Accountant (FCNA),Fellow Certified Institute of Taxation (FCTI), Fellow Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigation of Nigeria (FCCFI), Fellow Association of Chartered Certified System Accountants FCCSA (USA), and Associate Chartered Institute of Accountants (ACA) ,she has excelled in every facet of the accounting profession.
With a career spanning over two decades, she has demonstrated unwavering commitment to public service,good governance, and strict adherence to financial transparency.
Dr Mrs. Goje hails from Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. She is an alumna of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, where she earned her BSc.degree in accounting in the year 2000. In 2010, she obtained her MSc.Degree in Accounting and Finance from the same university. She also holds a PGD in Mathematics/Computer Science (Upper Credit) from the Federal University of Technology,Minna, Niger State, in 2004, and another Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho, Oyo State. In 2018, she obtained a diploma certificate in Higher Education Management from the renowned Galilee Institutional Management Institute, Nahalal, Israel. She also earned a doctorate degree in Accounting and Finance from Ibrahim Badamasi University Lapai, She is also a member of Financial Regulation Council of Nigeria (FRCN). The blazing Amazon, started her career as an accountant in the private sector immediately after concluding her mandatory one-year national service before joining the service of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, in 2007 as an Auditor I Officer in the Internal Audit Unit.
Based on her superb performance on the job, she was later redeployed to the Bursary Department of the University in 2009 as an Accountant I Officer, and she rose through the ranks to become a Deputy Bursar in the year 2020.She has worked in numerous high-profile units in the Bursary Department of the University and has impeccable records of excellent performance to her credit.
In recognition of her dedication to duty and track records, she was appointed as the fifth substantive Bursar of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, on October 22, 2020, based on her excellent performance during her interview session with the Joint Council/Senate Selection Committee scoring over 95percent.
As the Bursar of the University, she has decentralized the operations of the Bursary Department to aid effective service delivery in the university by deploying Bursary staff to Schools, Directorates, Centres, and Units to ease staff and students’ financial communication and transactions.
Also, to her credit, she initiated an electronic receipt payment platform for all financial transactions of the university to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, manage costs, and promote accountability.
Mrs.Goje has worked assiduously to boost the financial profile of the university in the area of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to complement the dwindling subventions from the Federal Government to enable the institution to meet up with its financial needs.
To the glory of God, Mrs. Goje is the Chairman of the Association of Bursars of all Nigerian Universities (ABNU), the first female to occupy position in Nigeria.
She has brought panache of her consummate experience to bear in the operations of this noble association.Without mincing words, Mrs. Goje is one of the notable women who is doing an amazing job in the Nigerian financial sector, especially in the university system, who have gone on to break barriers, setting the pace for aspiring young female financial experts to follow.
She is one of the few female bursars in the Nigerian University system. She is digitally savvy as evident in how she has effectively deployed technology to aid financial dealings in her present positions as Bursar,FUT,Minna,and as the Chairman of ABNU.
She has also participated in several high-level financial workshops and conferences in the United Kingdom, United States of America, Malaysia, Italy, Ghana, Nigeria, Switzerland, Nairobi, Turkey, the United Arab Emirate, Germany, Singapore, Rwanda, Togo, Senegal, Gambia, Israel, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe etc., with impactful contributions towards the growth of the accounting profession in Nigeria and the world at large.
She has also served in over 25 strategic committees, including the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Committee in the university since she joined the institution in 2007. She is also an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Project Management, Federal University of Technology, Minna, and other institutions. She is a financial consultant to many organizations in Nigeria and outside the country.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Goje is recognized for her advocacy for girl-child education. She has supported many female students at various levels to pursue their educational careers. Through leadership, mentorship, and significant contributions to the accounting profession, she continues to inspire and set ethical standards within the thematic foci of the accounting community and beyond.
Mrs. Goje is a recipient of several awards in recognition of her hard work, dedication to duty, and selfless service to the university and Nigeria at large.
Mrs. Goje’s career is marked by her dedication to financial excellence and contributions to various professional bodies. Her extensive experience and leadership continue to shape the future of FUT, the Minna Bursary Department,and the broader university system in Nigeria.
She is happily married and blessed with three children.
