About the School of
Infrastructure Process Engineering and Technology (SIPET)

The School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SEET) started as far back as 1986 with a very handful of students in the four pioneering Engineering Departments namely:

  1. Agricultural Engineering.
  2. Civil Engineering.
  3. Electrical /Electronic Engineering
  4. Mechanical Engineering.

At the beginning, the school enjoyed a mixture of very few local and foreign (Eastern Europe and India) staff owing to the limited population of students. However, within a short period of time, the population of the students increased drastically since the university is the only specialized Institution fully dedicated to Engineering and Technology in the entire North Central Geopolitical Zone of the Country, the closest established Engineering institution to the Nation’s Capital, Abuja; a tertiary institution with high employer’s rating of its graduate and having engineering discipline as its core business.

The SEET at a point assumed the status of one of the largest faculty of Engineering among all Nigerian Universities in the North Central Zone of the country.
