About the School
The School of Agronomy and Forestry Technology was established in December, 2024. It was carved out from the defunct School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology. Green is the official colour of the school. The School of Agronomy and Forestry Technology has four departments namely; Crop Production, Soil Science and Land Management, Horticulture and Landscape Management, Forestry and Wildlife Conservation.
Brief history of the School
The School of Agronomy and Forestry Technology (SAFT) was established in December 2024 from the defunct School of Agriculture and agricultural Technology (SAAT) with four Departments, namely; Crop Production, Soil Science and Land Management, Horticulture and Landscape Management, Forestry and Wildlife Conservation. Professor Haruna Ibrahim is the pioneer Ag Dean of the school. In the current 2025/2026 session, academic staff strength is 36 and student population stands at 540 for undergraduates and 52 for postgraduate students, totaling 592 students.
