Buypower.ng has donated a recording studio to Search Media, Federal University of Technology Minna. The donation was announced during a courtesy visit to the Management of the University by both Search Media and Buypower.ng teams on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the Council Chamber, Main Campus Gidan Kwano.
Speaking during the visit, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, represented by the Dean, Postgraduate School, Prof. Oladiran Abubakre expressed appreciation to both teams for the wonderful work they are doing.
“Search Media has provided a platform where students exhibit their various talents and creativities, naturally people thought that the University is not a hub of talent in the area of arts and broadcasting being a technology based university, “ he stated.
Prof Faruk, while congratulating the donors for the noble cause, revealed Management’s awareness of what alumni could do for their alma mata.
Speaking, the Chairman, Campus Radio Board, Prof. Akim Osunde who was represented by Prof. Johnson Oyero in his remark said that the purpose of the visit was to do a formal unveiling of the donated recording studio to search media, adding that, part of the vision of the University is for people to go back to their alumni base to see how they can give back to the University, as the donors have done.
He recalled that, the University Management last year approved for the donation to be named after the donor, who happens to be an alumni of the University.
