School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT) was created in 2009/2010 session. The pioneer departments include Computer Science (CPT), Cyber Security Science (CSS), Information and Media Technology (IMT) and Library and Information Technology (LIT). The School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT) had the National Universities Commissions Pre-Accreditation Resource Verification Visit in 2010 which saw all the departments accredited.
Since its inception the school had graduated over 1000 undergraduates and 500 postgraduates.

MISSION
To build Excellent research capacity and develop high quality human capacity through pragmatic and Dynamic Training, Research and Entrepreneurial services for the Information and Communication Technology Sector in Nigeria in particular and the world at large.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Both academic and administrative activities of the Departments in the school are well coordinated. These includes student’s results, students’s cases, transfer, staff promotion, seminar /conferences and discipline of both student and staff institutional board meeting.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT
The school has a staff strength of 163 on permanent and pensionable appointment, some are on sabbatical and some on visiting appointment. Currently, some staff are on study fellowship for various higher degree programmes within and outside the country.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
A good number of academic staff has delivered public lecturers to the community on various areas of interest.
