The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, has approved the appointment of Haj. Azumi Salamatu Ahmed Ndayako as the Acting Registrar of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT, MINNA), pending the appointment of a substantive Registrar for the University.
This appointment, effective from June 12, 2024, was conveyed in a letter dated June 5, 2024, signed by the Outgoing Registrar.
 
Haj. Ndayako began her career at the University on July 1, 1987, as an Administrative Assistant. She steadily progressed through the ranks, becoming a Deputy Registrar on October 1, 2007. She holds a B.Sc. in Sociology from Bayero University, Kano (1983), and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Abuja (2006).
 
Mrs. Ndayako, who hails from Bida, Niger State, has extensive experience both within and outside the University. She has served as a Member of the Implementation Committee of Abdulkadir A. Kure University, Minna, the Pioneer Registrar of Edusoko University, Bida, and a Member of the 4th and 5th Governing Councils of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai.
 
The dedicated and inspiring administrator is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria, and a member of several professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) Chartered, the Association of Nigeria University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), and an Associate Member of the Institute of Public Administrators of Nigeria (IPAN).
 
She will be succeeding Mr. Amos N. Kolo, who will complete a six-year tenure as the substantive Registrar, including a one-year extension beyond his initial five-year term on June 11, 2024.
