Dr. Muhammad Isa Bala had his primary school education at Funtua, Katsina State. His secondary school education was at Federal Government College Kwali, Abuja. Thereafter he proceeded to Federal University of Technology Minna for his B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Architecture in 2000 and 2002 respectively. He got employed immediately after his National Youth Service Corps with the Niger State Ministry of works in 2003. He worked with the State Government and rose to the position of Senior Architect in 2007. While working with Niger State Government, he also served as a part-time lecturer with the Department of Architecture, Federal University of Technology Minna in 2006. He left the services of Niger State Government and got employed as a full time lecturer with Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2007. While lecturing with the institution, Dr. Bala enrolled for a Postgraduate Diploma in Education at the National Teacher’s Institute Kaduna in 2011. He completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Education and became a fully registered member of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria in June 2012. Thereafter, in October 2012 he proceeded to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for his PhD program in Architecture which was completed in September 2015. He was awarded the best graduating PhD student in Architecture from the prestigious University of Teknologi Malaysia in 2015. Dr Bala served as the Postgraduate Coordinator of Department of Architecture in 2017 and thereafter he was elected as the Deputy Dean School of Environmental Technology, Federal University of Technology Minna in 2018, a position he held up till June 2022 when he was appointed as Acting Director, Physical Planning of the University in June 2022. He is a registered member of Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), a member of Association of Architectural Educators in Nigeria-(AARCHES) and a member of Nigeria Institute of Architects-NIA. He is married with children
