Consistent with determination

Having acquired my master degree from the Southern part of Nigeria FUTA (Federal University of Technology Akure) to be precise, I decided to immediately pursue a doctorate degree but this time in the northern part of Nigeria so i chose FUT Minna (Federal University of Technology Minna). On getting to the postgraduate school then at Bosso, I was told all admission closed a day before. Tensed and broken, i pleaded to be given a late admission but there was no positive response as the admission portal was already closed.
Discouraged I went back to my base, shared my experience with my husband (then fiance) and he encouraged me to keep checking the school portal for possible re-opening. After a week, I received a call from him instructing me to check the school portal and i did immediately, luckily the portal was re-opened for the ACEMFS (African Centre of Excellence for Mycotoxin and Food Safety) admission under the University. Without thinking twice, I filled the application form and met all necessary requirements for admission. Shortly, I was given not only an admission but was also granted a scholarship through the ACEMFS-FUT Minna to study PhD in Food Safety. It was a honorable opportunity and thank God I didn’t missed it. FUT Minna through the ACEMFS has been a blessing and source of testimony. It has given me opportunities to meet with experts (with humble personalities) in my area of study and also great fellowship with international colleagues. My consistency and determination brought me all these good fate through ACEMFS-FUT Minna.
