Agricultural Economics and Extension Technology Department

The Department undertakes regular enhancement of staff capacity through hands-on training in software computing-cum-data analysis to enhance the quality of teaching and research.

The Department has also been able to systematically sustain the collection of relevant market data on specific crop commodities through a consistent market survey spanning over the past eight years from market locations across the State which could serve as a repository and a data base for empirical investigation that would guide the agricultural policy framework of the State and the nation.

The market survey is an important part of the training given to the students and also facilitates a lot of research activities.
