Anthony Adetola Owolabi graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria in 1998.
He holds an MBA in Natural Resources, Energy, and Environment from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainable Development at the University of Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
With over 20 years of experience in Utilities Technology and Engineering fields, Anthony has honed his skills in energy conservation, energy efficiency, and energy management. He is both a Certified Energy Manager and an ISO 50001 Energy Management Lead Auditor.
He is currently the Vice President, Technical for Top Quartile Industrial Services Inc based in Alberta, Canada and he sits on the executive board of several other businesses in Canada and Nigeria. Anthony was formerly a process engineer at the Nigeria LNG Limited, Bonny Island, Rivers State, Nigeria.
Anthony’s dedication to energy efficiency and sustainability makes him a valuable asset in the field. His current volunteer work with PACE Alberta exemplifies how innovative financing tools can drive positive change in our communities.
PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) is an innovative financing tool that allows building owners and developers to upgrade energy performance, install renewable energy systems, and reduce resource consumption with no upfront costs. The financing is repaid through property tax bills.
Beyond his professional achievements, Anthony is an avid traveler, having explored over 30 cities around the world.
