Olufemi (Femi) holds a Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees in Chemical Engineering, the higher degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa while the B.SC degree is from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria.
Femi has over 18 years of experience in the South African Engineering Industry as an engineer, project management, project controls, technical governance and engineering technology incubation from inception to implementation.
Femi has gained invaluable knowledge of conceptual and detailed engineering design, commissioning, start-up of operations, operational support and trouble shooting in the Oil & Gas, Petro-chemical, Water and wastewater Treatment Industries.
He has worked on various international projects in Nigeria and South Africa developing a management style that not only allows him to lead and function as part of a successful team but also successfully deal with various clients, stakeholders and vendors. He has interacted with top government officials, EPC, consultants to ensure that correct sourcing of technologies matches the scope or work at hand at resolving challenges. He is equally comfortable interfacing and coordinating activities for and on behalf of various internationally based technology and licence owners to African continent-based end users.
It is this commitment to detail and desire for the right solution, which makes Femi a valuable asset in any organization. Femi has the ability to work under pressure, often across different time zones coordinating with remote teams.
He is currently in a role interacting sub Saharan Africa based end users that are in need of various infrastructure technology solution to the various Hitachi business units globally. Relationship with African based governments and clients are based on global best practice ethical and compliance standards.
