Speaking during the closing ceremony on Wednesday, April 8, 2019 at the Entrepreneurship Centre, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Bala, fsssn, said he was happy for the training of SU executives, because as leaders by their own right, they should have the opportunity of being trained for leadership.

“The essence of this training is that when you are able to identify your weaknesses, then you should also find a ways of turning that weaknesses into a strength,” VC stated.

The VC emphasised on the team building and said that what they have learnt during the training exercise would really help them in future.

He assured the SUG executive that Management would continue to organise leadership training programme every year for the student executives and the legislature because of their honourest responsibilities.

Earlier in her remarks, the Coordinator, CEFE, FUTMinna, Engr. Dr. Caroline Aleogheno, said the training was organised for the SUG executives on leadership skills; how to work as a team, respect each other’s opinion and how to resolve problems.

She appreciated the VC and his Management staff for keeping the tradition of training every member of the SU, for the past years.

In his remarks, the SU President, Comrade Ayodeji Matthew thanked the VC for giving them the opportunity to learn something different on the practical aspect of leadership which impacted their lives positively.

Certificate were issued to participants after the training.
