The final match was played on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the University Sports Complex, Main Campus.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council said the University is not only there in isolation but it is relating to its grassroots community and wished the contestants best of luck.

Also speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Abdullahi Bala, fsssn, urged the participants to enjoy themselves and use the avenue to interact and forge interpersonal communication with the hope of making positive lifelong friendship.

He further stated that the Championship was for the institution to contribute towards the development of local talents among young primary school pupils.

“The Founders’ Day should be celebrated not only by the University communities but also by its host community, it is part of our corporate social responsibility in being inclusive,” the VC said.

The Championship was part of activities lined up for the 36th Founders’ Day and 28th Convocation Ceremony of the University.
