The Entrepreneurship Centre of the Federal University of Technology, Minna has trained 23 prospective applicants for the CBN/Nigeria Incentive Base Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending(NIRSAL) and the Agric-Business Small and Medium Enterprises Investment Scheme loan facility.
The 2-day training which held recently at the Entrepreneurship Centre of FUT, Minna, Main Campus, is part of the requirements for applicants to access the CBN/NIRSAL AGSMEIS loan facility to the tune of N10 million.
Addressing participants at the training, the Centre’s Director, Engr. Prof. Zinash D. Osunde said it is part of CBN requirements for applicants to be trained and certified by CBN/NIRSAL approved Enterprise Development Institution (EDI) for which FUT,Minna is licensed.
The training, according to her, is apt as it takes participants through the rudiments of applying for CBN/NIRSAL, AGSMEIS loan, identifying business opportunities, writing business plan, procedures for CAC registration, business start-up and up-scaling, as well as marketing and record keeping.
The Director further said that the Centre has trained three batches of prospective applicants to date and that the training for the 4th batch is scheduled for the last week of January, 2020.
Speaking earlier, the Deputy Director of the center, Dr.Ezekiel Yisa said the training is a major thrust of accessing the loan.
At the end of the training certificates were presented to the participants.
