After a thorough assessment of relevant resources, the re-accreditation team from the National Universities Commission (NUC), has concluded its assignment with a positive remark for the undergraduate programme of Physics Education in the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
Speaking during an exit meeting on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 held at the Bosso campus of the University, Chairman of the team, Prof. Gadjam Vor Ardo, described what they met at the Department of Science Education as impressive.
“We have seen a lot of improvement,” said Prof. Ardo who commended the University for the efforts put in.
In his remarks, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor ( Academic), Prof. Yahaya Ahmed Iyaka, fcsn, who represented the Vice-Chancellor at the event expressed appreciation to the re-accreditation team.
He assured that the University would look into suggestions made for improvement.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Emmanuel Emeka Udensi, fnip; Registrar, Mr. Amos Nmadu Kolo and University Librarian, Dr. Katamba Abubakar Saka were at the exit visit.
Also present were the Director, Academic Planning Unit, Prof. Faruk Kuta; Dean, School of Technology Education ( STE), Prof. Bernard Atsumbe; Dean-elect, STE, Prof. Amosa Gambari,; Deputy Director, APU, Dr. John Alhassan; Head of Department, Science Education, Dr. Rabiu Bello and other members of staff.
