DR ADINDU BAGS NIQS FELLOW AWARD • Makes Case for Quality Service Delivery by NIQS Members

In recognition of his immense contribution to the development of the built environment in Nigeria, the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) has conferred the Institute’s fellowship award on Dr. Chinedu Chimdi Adindu of the Department of Project Management of the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
The ceremony took place recently at the Justice Legbo Kutigi International Centre, Minna during the Institute’s Annual Conference.
Speaking at the colourful event that was graced by top dignitaries in the State and the country at large, the National President, NIQS, QS, Mohammed Abba Tor commended members of the Institute for their contributions to the development of the Institute.
QS Tor further congratulated the newly awarded fellows and urged them to continue to champion the growth of the profession in the country through novel research and the grooming of young professionals in the country.
Speaking exclusively with FUTMinna Info Unit at the event, Dr. Adindu stated that the award would spur him to contribute more to the profession in the areas of cutting-edge research and skills development for its members in line with the Institute’s desire to grow the built environment industry by closing the huge infrastructural gap through effective project management in a manner that would maximize value for money for stakeholders.
In his words, “this award marks a watershed in my long, challenging and adventurous journey as a registered Quantity Surveyor and professional Project Manager with over 32 years of practice. It is also a reward for my dogged commitment to the built environment industry in Nigeria and the world at large”, he stated.
He advised young professionals in the industry to develop a knack for excellence, appetite for quality service delivery, highest level of professionalism, propriety and accountability.
Present at the event to support Dr. Adindu were the Head of Department, Project Management, Dr. Musa Mohammed, a staff of the Department, Mr. Saheed Olarewanju and other well-wishers.
